Proudly Pinoy
Proudly Pinoy is an online project that aims to provide a venue for Filipino internet users to express their nationalistic spirit. The project was initiated through a design competition held on Philippine Independence Day of 2007. The goal of the competition was to come up with a logo that will provide an online identity for Filipinos.
"Badge"
Logo Description
This bright and lively circular logo was created using the colors of the Philippine Flag.
Filipinos are known to be cheerful and positive regardless of any problems. We always stand high and happy ready to face any challenge in life. The bright colors of blue, red and yellow represent this cheerful and positive personality of the Filipinos.
The white and curly letter "P" in the middle of the logo stands for "Pinoy" - a name of endearment used by Filipinos to call their compatriots in the Philippines and around the world. Together with this symbol, the blue and red colors swivel inward making a circular motion. This swirly movement shows how dynamic Filipinos are. We are always full of vigor and energy. We bring out the best of ourselves in everything we do. That's how we manage to be victorious and successful regardless of the country's economic situation.
The text "PROUDLY PINOY" at the upper left side of the logo shouts to the whole world of how we are very much proud of being Filipino. The three stars at the bottom right represent each and all of the Pinoys from the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao including the whole-hearted Pinoys who grew up abroad or have migrated because of work.
